In Basra, I worked as a theatre and cinema artist, founding Ad’ayat Production Company in 2016 to create documentaries and TV programs reflecting Iraqi culture and social challenges. Collaborating with Athaer Group , I directed award-winning works like the documentary RoRo (winner of the Lebanon International Film Festival ) and the play What’s After Death (winner of Best Scenography ). By leveraging smartphone-based filming techniques, I produced timely, authentic content that challenges traditional TV and delivers human-centric stories to global audiences.
In Lebanon, I served as Program Director at Tiro Association (2020–2021), organizing film festivals, training artists in directing and acting, and managing communication strategies to amplify cultural engagement. I directed the play What’s After Death , winner of Best Scenography at a national festival, using theater to spark dialogue on social issues. These projects aimed to bridge cultural gaps and empower youth through storytelling.
As a Communications Specialist at the National Institute for Social Integration , I designed social media campaigns (Facebook, Instagram) to promote migrant integration, organized virtual international conferences on social cohesion, and trained youth in the “Visi skirtingi – visi lygūs” (All Different – All Equal) . I also produced short documentaries on migration and human rights to amplify cross-cultural understanding.
